Valentin Strikalo is a Ukrainian indie rock band formed in 2010. The band's name comes from a fictional character by the name of Valentin Strikalo created by frontman and vocalist Yuriy Kaplan. In 2008, Kaplan posted a series of short, humorous videos to YouTube in which he played the part of Valentin Strikalo, a young musician from the village of Buriltsevo, Ukraine. Each video was addressed to a different musician or musical group, ranging from Timati to Potap & Nastya to Timbaland in a bid to convince them to become his producers and featured Strikalo singing a short sample of a song he'd written. The popularity of these videos, coupled with a televised performance on the Russian TV show "Big Difference" (Большая Разница) that skyrocketed Kaplan to Internet fame, led to the formation of the Valentin Strikalo band. The band released three albums: "Humble Yourself and Relax!" in 2012, "Part of Something Bigger" in 2013, and "Entertainment" in 2016. After enjoying eight years of success, Yuriy Kaplan announced their official disbandment in 2019.

Strikalo Archive is a fan-made website dedicated to the preservation and appreciation of Valentin Strikalo's works. This includes songs, pictures, videos, updates, information, and work affiliated with the members of the band.
Valentin Strikalo's music has brought joy to many people. As such, keeping their work alive and accessible feels like the right thing to do. This is also a sort of storage area for interesting Valentin Strikalo-related things that I (the moderator) don't have anywhere else to put.
Anyone is welcome to look around, fan or not. This is not a promotional website - it's not meant to 'convert' anyone to Valentin Strikalo fandom, so if you listen to their music or read about them and don't find it to your tastes, that's cool!
